About Me... |
Dear Parents,
Welcome to my class. My Name is Hassan Ali, and I will teach your child English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Indeed, I look forward to diversifying a new academic paradigm with each child for the academic year 2023/2024.
Surely, like every other year, we shall encounter many new experiences that are full of excitement and challenges, and to make the year a successful one, direct communication, teamwork and cooperation will be required by all. We all create, express and learn ideas in different ways. How sad it would be to live in a world where it was all the same. As your child’s teacher, I am responsible for encouraging all children to seek their creative nature and become confident learners.
I believe in parent and school cooperation, as we are responsible for providing a rich and exciting learning experience so the children can be enthusiastic about their learning. It is very important that you ensure the attendance and punctuality of your children are steady for them to receive the maximum learning opportunity. I highly recommend independent learning; please encourage your children to do their homework alone and with minimal help. Additionally, allow your children to read every day for about 20 minutes, as this will help them excel in English and in general knowledge. There will be a planner with homework and assignments that must be signed daily. This process helps to
keep our communication regular and up to date.
I look forward to working in partnership with you throughout the coming year, and I am confident that together we can provide the support and encouragement needed to help your child excel.
Finally, I have included some information that you will find useful. Please take time to go through it. If you have any questions now or at any time in the future, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully,
Hassan Ali

What You Need to Know.
1. Homework and class-work policies:
Homework Policy:
My homework policy is simple:
‘Do your homework on your own. Give it your best shot and if you miss we'll work on it together the next day’
I strongly encourage students to do their homework on their own. Homework is given for two main reasons:
1- For practice.
2- To make sure the student understood the day's lesson.
Class Work policy:
Finishing class-work on time is very important as it enhances the students' time management skills as well it gives them the chance to ask about any confusing or unfamiliar concepts. Accordingly, students might be asked to stay during break to complete their unfinished work.
2. Newsletters:
Class newsletters are issued every Sunday. The class newsletter is to let parents know what the class is doing each week and inform them of important news. Class newsletter can be found on my website http://hassan-kafi.weebly.com
3. Planners:
Each student will receive a planner, which is divided into two sections.
1. Homework diary:
Please sign the homework diary on a daily basis to ensure that an adult has seen the homework assignments.
2. Parent-Teacher message book:
Should you have any questions, queries or messages, please write them in the message book and I will get back to you on the same day.
4. Lunch and Snack Policy:
According to various studies student’s diets directly affect their abilities and performance. Therefore we strongly believe in ‘Healthy Eating’. Food items such as chocolate, candy, soft drinks and chips are not allowed at school. I encourage you to pack items such as fruit, vegetables, juice, sandwiches and cookies instead. The school canteen offers a wide selection of healthy lunches and snacks, more information about the canteen will be sent home with your child within the first week of school.
